A pastor is a religious figure, responsible for overseeing the activities of members of his religious group. Shining the light from a religious point of view, precisely Christianity, a pastor is a leader, divinely ordained and tasked with the duty of providing guidance and support to people. Gone are the days when poor people were assumed to be pastors. The tides have turned and some of the richest people in the world today are indeed pastors.

Who is the richest pastor in Africa? When that question comes to your mind, you might start imagining the pastor in a world of his own with a lot of class and style but guess what? You’re right! The person you’re thinking about is no other person but Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo of the Living Faith World Outreach Ministry aka Winners Chapel.
Papa” as he’s popularly called, is the founder of the Living Faith World Outreach Ministry. He is a pastor, a CEO, a father, an author, a shrewd businessman and an investor. He is also an architect by profession as he studied Architecture at the now Kwara State University. His church land is a pretty 530-acre (2.1km²) piece of land called “Canaan Land”.
Faith Tabernacle, which is the Living Faith’s church, is reportedly the largest church auditorium in the world. It is a 50,000 sitter auditorium and it was recorded in the Guinness book of records. David Oyedepo owns one of the best private universities in West Africa – Covenant University, a school he established in 2002 and he just recently launched another university – Landmark University in 2011.
He has a number of establishments on both university grounds – secondary schools, bakeries, bottle water processing factories, petrol stations, residential apartments, shopping malls, restaurants, a number of micro-finance banks and so on. He has also provided jobs for over 2000 people. He’s the owner/chairman of the Dominion House Publishing (DPH). He (the church) owns several buildings across the world including London and the United States
He (the church) is already on the construction of another University named “Crown University” in Calabar, Cross River state and he (the church) owns four private jets.
Bishop David Oyedepo, who hails from Kwara state in Nigeria, is the richest pastor in Africa and he currently has a net worth of $150 Million.
